做客的狗（A guest dog）

一天，有个人大摆酒席，设宴招待亲朋好友。这人家里的狗也高兴地跑去请另一只狗，说：“朋友，快走，请你和我一起去赴宴。”那狗兴高采烈地跑来，见到如此丰盛的筵席，他心里暗暗地说，“太好啦！真想不到天底下还有这么多好吃的！让我饱吃一顿，明天都不会肚子饿。”他独自暗暗地窃喜，不停地摇着尾巴，十分信任地看着他的朋友。正在这时，厨师看见狗尾巴在那里四处乱摇，立刻抓住他的腿，从窗口丢到外边去了。那狗摔得大声叫唤，惊慌地跑了回去。路上别的狗遇见他时，都问他：“朋友，宴会怎么样呀？”他回答道：“我喝得太多了，已经醉了，所以我记不清回去的路了。”
寓意：对那些慷他人之慨的人不可信任。

One day, a man gave a banquet to entertain his relatives and friends. The dog of the family also ran happily to invite another dog and said, "friend, go quickly, please go to the banquet with me." the dog ran happily. When he saw such a rich banquet, he said in his heart, "great! I didn't think there were so many delicious things in the world! Let me eat a full meal, and I won't be hungry tomorrow." he secretly rejoiced alone, He kept wagging his tail and looked at his friend with great trust. Just then, the cook saw the dog's tail wagging around. He immediately grabbed his leg and threw it out of the window. The dog fell and barked loudly and ran back in panic. When other dogs met him on the road, they asked him, "how was the party, friend?" he replied, "I drank too much and was drunk, so I couldn't remember the way back."

Moral: don't trust those who are generous to others.

猎狗与众狗（Hounds and dogs）

有个人养着一条强壮的猎狗，主人想让它去追逐野兽。可他一见到一队队行走的野兽，就拼命将颈圈挣脱，使劲地逃跑。其他狗见到这只壮得像公牛似的猎狗，便问:“你为什么如此仓皇逃窜?”猎狗说:“我知道，我虽吃住不愁，生活舒适;但命我去追逐熊和狮子，那我就离死不远了。”那些狗似乎明白了什么道理，便说:“尽管我们缺衣少食，生活简陋，却不要去和凶猛的狮子或熊拼搏。”

寓意：荣华富贵舒适享乐往往和危险相连，而清贫简陋的生活却是安全的。

There was a man who kept a strong hound. The owner wanted it to chase wild animals. But as soon as he saw a group of walking beasts, he tried to break free his collar and ran away. When other dogs saw the bull like hound, they asked, "Why are you running away in such a hurry?" the hound said, "I know that although I have enough food and shelter and a comfortable life, I am not far from death if I am ordered to chase bears and lions." the dogs seemed to understand something and said: "Although we are short of food and clothing and live a simple life, we should not fight with fierce lions or bears."

Moral: wealth, wealth, comfort and pleasure are often linked to danger, but a simple and greedy life is safe.
