狮子和青蛙（Lions and frogs）

狮子听见青蛙大声叫喊，便朝声音发出的方向转过头去细心察看，心想一定是什么大动物。他等了一会儿，看见青蛙从池塘里蹦了出来，便走过去，一脚踩住它，说:“这么一个小东西叫声却那么大。"

寓意：那些多嘴多舌的人，除了说空话，别无所能。

When the lion heard the frog shouting, he turned his head in the direction of the sound and looked carefully. He thought it must be a big animal. After waiting for a while, he saw the frog jumping out of the pond, walked over, stepped on it and said, "such a little thing cries so loudly“

Moral: those talkative people can do nothing but talk empty words.

狮子和海豚（Lions and dolphins）

狮子在海滩上游荡，看见海豚跃出水面，便劝他与自己结为同盟，说他们是一对最好的搭档，因为一个是海中动物之王，一个是陆地兽中之王。海豚立即高兴地答应了。不久，狮子和野牛展开了一场生死搏杀，他请求海豚助他一臂之力。尽管海豚想出海助战，却办不到。狮子指责他背信弃义。他回答说：“不要责备我，去责备自然吧！因为它让我成为海里的动物，不许上陆地呀！”
寓意：我们结交盟友，应当选择那些能共患难的人。

When the lion wandered on the beach and saw the dolphins jumping out of the water, he advised him to form an alliance with himself, saying that they were the best partners, because one was the king of animals in the sea and the other was the king of land animals. The dolphin readily agreed. Soon, the lion and the bison fought a life and death battle. He asked the dolphins to help him. Although dolphins want to go to sea to help, they can't. The lion accused him of treachery. He replied, "don't blame me, blame nature, because it makes me an animal in the sea and doesn't allow me to go on land!"

Moral: when we make allies, we should choose those who can share weal and woe.
