前段时间轰轰烈烈的美国大选在反转反转再反转中终于落下了帷幕。

期间夹杂着特朗普支持者所发起的各种闹剧，比如闯入美国国会。

或者是在林肯纪念堂前抗议。

又或者是抢走佩洛西讲话台。这笑容，一看就是发自内心地开心。

大洋彼岸的我们看热闹看得不亦乐乎，那么，置身其中的国外网民们又对拜登的当选抱有什么样的态度呢？

“他没有做错任何事”

按照常理来说，像美国大选这种以投票数决定当选资格的选举方式，所选出的结果应该代表了大部分选民的意愿。

然而，当小K搜索外国网民对美国新任总统拜登的相关评价时，却发现事实并非如此。网友Matthew Parker便是其中之一。

2019 I’m busy all year, trying to understand, trying to figure out why we are impeaching President Trump. Every fact we have been shown says he has done nothing wrong. Yet media is all over the place with Headline and Breaking News about some other thing that ends up being debunked within days.

At the time however it was seen as those are the troublemakers. He is not credited for anything else significant. I do hear quite a bit about his issue with “personal space”. Videos are easily accessed of excessive touching, visible discomfort, and awkward looks.

网友Chris Coleman显然意识到了这一点。

He’s a rich, old white guy, kinda like the President we have now. The difference is Trump works to create private jobs, lower taxes, reduce our dependence on other countries and empower inpiduals to do great things. Joe Biden has stated that he wants to generate more public (government) sector jobs, raise taxes, further involve us with economic trade with China and spend as much as $2 trillion dollars to fund government programs, which will result in less personal freedom to succeed for Americans.

Joe Biden has spent his entire working life in the public sector, living off of the public taxpayer’s teat and he has no idea or concept as to what it’s like to hold a real private job, build or run a company or even make a single product with his hands. Most of his diatribe is the result of experiences he shared with his father as a boy. He’s been a career politician all of his life, honing the skill of give and take, compromise, balancing his own interests against those of his constituents and his party and playing the Washington “game.” Whatever integrity he once had as a young man died years ago.

The final point is that Joe Biden is past his prime. His mind is sadly on the way out, and it’s obvious to every casual observer that he’s suffering from early onset Alzheimer’s Disease. He also has these strange mannerisms, such as impulsively grabbing women and young girls, trying to kiss them and even smiles broadly at inappropriate times. It appears the engine is running but the bus is going nowhere…

He speaks in complete sentences. He completes his thoughts. He knows right from wrong. He has a fine and nuanced grasp of issues. He likes people, and you can easily tell he’s not faking it. He feels compassion for the people treated badly by life. He has worked hard his whole life and has known great suffering and personal tragedy. There isn’t a thing wrong with his brain or his ethics.

He is outraged by what the current administration has done to pide this country, yet he feels no hatred towards Trump supporters because he knows that the economic pain they feel is real. He is disgusted by the hatemongers of the right wing propaganda establishment. He’s everything a good moderate Republican should be, and that’s fine with me even though I am quite a bit more progressive than he is.

He wasn’t my first choice to be the Democratic candidate, but I have no major issues with his policies, and absolutely none with his character. The President is supposed to be the country’s moral leader. Biden is supremely qualified to fill that role.
