我爱你，北方的冬天（E）

曾经，我的一个梦想是在北方上大学，因为我喜欢看雪。几度奋斗，几番拼搏，最终，大学的校门向我敞开。

这一成功属于我，也属于我的父母，他们爱我胜过爱自己。

Attending university in North China used to be one of my dreams because I like snow. Eventually it came true after years of hard work.

The triumph is both mine and that of my parents, who love me more than themselves.

I’m a freshman studying at Datong University, where I am surrounded by abundant resources available: interesting students from all over the country, a learned and caring faculty, a comprehensive library, modern sports facilities, and student organizations, which cover every possible interest.

我在大同大学读大一。在我身边，各种资源触手可及：有全国范围的同学，别具魅力；有学识渊博、慈眉善目的老师；有多功能图书大楼，即可以借书，也可以自习，既可以听报告，也可以看演出；有新潮时尚的健身器材；有学生社团，能够满足不同兴趣的孩子。

I have the freedom to explore the arts and learn about science. Community service attracts me, too.

我可以自由地探索文科的真理，自由地获取理科的奥妙。社区服务也让我心驰神往。

From morning till night I keep busy, listening to the teacher, doing assignments, conducting experiments , attending meetings and so on. It’s difficult to get by on very little sleep. However, it’s rewarding for me to keep busy.

By keeping busy I can meet fascinating people, and pursue new passions.

从早到晚，我忙个不停。上课、写作业、做实验、参加会议等。早起迟睡的日子，对我一点也不轻松。然而，我忙忙碌碌，我受益多多。

保持忙碌，我可以与高手零距离交流，并能追求新的爱好。

University years will be a unique time and a good opportunity. It’s my responsibility to make the most of every day during this period.

大学岁月绝无仅有，机会难得。充分利用期间的每一天是我的责任。

Winter comes to Datong in October. Very often cold winds blow hard. Color leaves fall off trees little by little. Grasses wither step by step. Flowers go out of sight.

大同的冬天从十月开始。寒风刮了一场又一场，将五彩斑斓的树叶一点点吹落。渐渐地，芳草枯萎，鲜花淡出视线。

Snow is around the corner. The campus may probably be surrounded by it overnight. My classmates and I will have a snowball fight excitedly, shouting and crying. Besides, we shall make snowmen.

皑皑白雪就要来了。或许，一夜之间，校园成了雪花的世界。我和同学打雪仗，兴致勃勃，大呼小叫。另外，我们还要堆雪人。

It’s a pleasure to take photos of students throwing snowballs, full of joy.

拍些学生打雪仗狂欢的照片，是一件愉快的事情。

Winter is the season I like best. Without flies or mosquitoes people sleep comfortably. But their driving too fast is dangerous on snowy days. I suggest car owners(owners’) going to work by bus. My parents suggest me (my) not eating outside.

我最喜欢的季节是冬天。没有蚊子叮，苍蝇扰，人们可以睡个好觉。不过，他们雪天超速驾驶很危险。建议有车族乘公交去上班。妈妈建议我不要在外面吃东西。

Some old men’s and women’s singing and dancing in the open air interests me very much. I enjoy watching them building their bodies in this way.

一些老人露天唱歌跳舞引起我的极大兴趣。我喜欢观看他们以这种方式强身健体。

I love snowy winter. Snow is a messenger sent by spring. It purifies the air and humidifies the earth.

我爱雪花飞扬的冬天。雪花是春天派出的使节，净化空气，滋润土地。

When winter comes, can spring be far behind?

冬天来了，春天还会远吗?
