的一门课

I am obsessed with English. To be exact, English is my favorite subject.

我迷恋英语。确切地讲，英语是我最喜欢的一门课。

I didn’t fall in love with English at first sight. I came to enjoy it after a long time of hard work. If I had not studied English whole-heartedly I would have failed in the college martriculation and I would not teach English at Datong University.

对英语，我并非一见钟情。努力学习了好长一段时间，我才渐渐地爱上了它。如果不是全心全意学习英语，高考我就名落孙山，就不会在大同大学教书育人。

During middle school years solving problems in mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology was a big headache to me. I tried learning English and was often praised by the teacher for my great progress and remarkable achievements.

中学时代，数理化和生物，我学不进去，于是便改学英语，结果进步很大，成绩斐然，受到老师的表扬。

When God mercilessly shuts a door to you he opens a window secretly.

上帝残酷地关闭一道门，也会悄悄地为你开启一扇窗。

Every day I was busy attending English class and did English exercises.Whenever I came across something that I didn’t understand, I asked the teacher immediately. I memorized the words and expressions by listening, speaking, reading and writing. I used up many pieces of paper in a single day.

每天，我忙着上英语课，做英语题，不懂的地方就向老师请教，分秒必争。通过听说读写，我记忆单词，一天之内我用光的纸张多达几十页。

To pass the college entrance examination, I learned all the texts by heart and said from memory each word I was supposed to know well.

为了高考一举成功，课文我背下来，单词我脱口而出。

As a result of my diligence and persistence I was enrolled exceptively at Shanxi Normal University . The whole family’s dream came true.

由于我的勤奋和坚持，山西师范大学破格给我发来录取通知书。实现了全家人的梦想。

Entering college was no more than the first step of a long journey, so I stroved harder than ever. On the one hand, I borrowed from the library books I should read carefully; on the other hand, I bought books that were of unusual value to me.

考入大学是漫长旅行的第一步，因此,我比以前更加用功，一方面，应该认真阅读的书我从图书馆借；另一方面，价值颇高的书我自费购买。

I grew into a boy with good manners; both the teachers and administrators thought well of me, and paved the way for my future.

举止文雅，言语礼貌，我赢得老师和领导的赞美，他们为我的前程铺路架桥。

Upon graduation Datong University welcomed me with open arms. It was English that changed my fate.

大学毕业，大同大学张开双臂欢迎我。是英语改变了我的命运。

Giving lectures before students can be a bliss. Standing on the platform I look like a general or a king. Whatever I might say, students listen attentively. In class I’m a teacher and out of class I’m a bosom friend.

教书育人，其乐无穷。站在讲台上，我如同将军或国王。不管我说什么，学生们都会洗耳恭听。授课时，我传播知识；下课后，我是学生知心朋友。

Today they are proud of Datong University and Datong University will take pride in them tomorrow.

今天，作为莘莘学子，他们为大同大学而自豪；明日，因为他们的增光添彩，大同大学越发荣耀。
