《我的大学》——如果有下辈子，一定做个禽兽

If I were to be born for a second time, I would rather be an animal, for animals live a life much happier than human beings.

如果有来生，我宁愿做个禽兽。与人相比，禽兽幸福得多。

A man is burdened with responsibilities and expectations beyond his ability.

做人累死了，承担着力所不及的责任和期望。

There are birds which can migrate instinctively. In winter they fly to the South, where it’s warm; when summer comes, they move to the North with a climate they love.

一些鸟类天生能够迁徙。冬天，它们飞向南方，那里暖阳普照。夏天，它们飞回北方，这里的气候适宜。

Having powerful wings, migratory birds are able to fly a long distance and at a high speed. Thus they can find enough and tasty food.

翅膀一振，浑身是劲，候鸟飞得远，也飞得快，不但吃得饱，而且吃得好。

Birds survive depending upon their own talents. Without money they build a nest; Without a boat or a ladder , they catch fish in the water and eat insects on the tree. And above all, they sing and dance as they please anytime and anywhere without worrying about bothering the surrounding people.

凭借与生俱来的才能，鸟类活在世上。没有钱可以筑巢磊窝，没有小船或梯子，可以下水捉鱼，上树逮虫。最重要的是，无论何时何地，它们可以唱歌跳舞，不会担心烦扰周围的人。

If I should be a frog or a snake, I would hibernate, that is, sleep through winter. The enemy couldn’t kill me and I would not risk searching for food.

如果我是一只蛙或一条蛇，我就可以冬眠，也就是一觉睡过寒冬。天敌害不死我，我也不必冒险出去找吃的。

Were I to change into a dog or a cat, people might keep me as a pet.They treat me affectionately as if I were their kids. In their spare time I would have a walk with them in the park or on the street.

如果我变成狗或猫，人类会把我当宠物豢养。他们亲我爱我，宛若我是他们的亲生骨肉。茶余饭后，他们带着我一起散步，在公园或者在街头。

I would eat what is delicious and nutrious. My life would be as good as a king.

美味佳肴送到我身边，不但饱了口福，而且营养充足。我的生活水平不亚于国王。

If I were an animal, wealth and fame would have nothing to do with me. Nobody might criticize me, scold me and even beat me for my idling away my precious time.

如果我是禽兽，功名利禄和我无关。虚度光阴，谁也不会批评我、训斥我。甚至体罚我。

Endless and useless subject exercises would get out of my life. Difficult and boring examinations of all kinds would never be my headaches or tortures.

我将摆脱题海战术。五花八门的考试难度大，又枯燥，但我不会为此头疼煎熬。

I would not be taught to master Chinese chatacters and memorize English vocabulary in the kindergarten. I would enjoy myself by doing what I love most on weekens instead of learning to play the piano, to solve problems of mathematical Olympiad, to draw pictures and to speak English.

我不会在幼儿园学认汉字、熟记英文单词。周末，我喜欢做什么就做什么。远离钢琴、奥数，远离绘画、英语。

I would take charge of my own time.

我的时间，我做主。
