这段时间，和所有在读、即将就读美国大学或中学的学生家长一样，敏敏老师也非常关注今年秋季的开学政策。

究竟是线上还是线下授课，提前开学还是推迟开学，大家都在热切关注。

与此同时，我也在密切地和许多学校保持联系，不断和我们的学生家庭沟通第一手信息。

这周有一些最新进展，我做了一些总结分析，和大家分享。

大学方面

纽约大学早前给新生提供了四个选项：

1. 正常回到校园

2. 先上网课，然后能回学校后改为正常上课

3. 秋季课程全部在线上课，春季课程回校园上课

4. 秋季GAP一个学期，春季开始新学期

但其实这个政策还未完全敲定，校方仍然在研究之中。

同样的，其他的大学，目前都没有最后的方案出来，特别是最好的常春藤高校联盟，基本都要等到6月份或者7月份才有最终方案。

前几天宾夕法尼亚大学给所有学生发送了一个最新开学方案的四种可能性，邮件我摘抄重点如下：

“A hybrid experience with some in-person instruction. In a mostly online learning environment, classroom instruction would be offered for small seminars, research group meetings, experiential clinics, studios, and other courses enrolling no more than 25 students. … All larger classes of more than 25 students would be delivered online, even for those living on campus.”

授课将以混合模式进行，多于25人的课将全部改为在线进行。

“An in-person experience ending at Thanksgiving break. In this scenario—compatible with the hybrid experience described above—the fall semester would begin and end on schedule, but all on-campus activities would conclude as Penn breaks for Thanksgiving. After Thanksgiving, the remainder of the fall semester would be conducted online. ”

所有线下课程都会在感恩节前结束，我认为此举是为了应对流感季和新冠疫情的结合所带来的更大风险。

“More robust summer course offerings in 2021. To maintain flexibility for our students, we could offer expanded class options, in addition to our current strong summer programming, during the summer of 2021, providing greater opportunities for earned academic credits and cohort-based experiential learning. ”

2021年的暑期课程会进行丰富和深化，帮助学生利用明年暑假来弥补今年秋季的一些影响。

“An entirely online experience for the fall semester. In the event that the pandemic precludes us from bringing students back to campus in the fall, we would then conduct all fall semester instruction, mentoring, and advising at a safe distance via technology. In this scenario, we would make every effort to bring students back to campus as soon as possible and to preserve class traditions, including for our entering Class of 2024. This scenario is distinct from the first two scenarios above but compatible with the third.”

如果因为疫情，秋季课程必须全部采取在线形式的话，学校将尽可能在技术和流程上做好全面的准备和支持。

以上四种情况并不是各自独立存在，校方会根据情况变化进行调整和结合。

我认为，这封邮件基本上代表了所有大学目前考虑的疫情应对要点。

从现在的情况来看，个人认为，学校大概率还是以混合模式进行开学，学生可以根据自己的情况选择回学校做线上+线下模式，或者是留在家里则以在线方式完成秋季课程。

高中方面

目前，许多高中学校也仍在讨论开学措施，他们也在参考大学的做法。毕竟高中生还是未成年人，自律性方面会弱一些，所以方案会更严格。

我也收到了加州的韦伯中学刚刚给所有家庭发出的开学政策邮件，在这里，也做一个重点摘抄与大家分享：

“New School Calendar / New Start of School Date We have made the decision to start the new 2020-21 school year in early September. This later start date will allow us to prepare the campus for the return of students and more time for students to travel to Claremont. ”

推迟开学日期到9月份，以给所有家庭留出更宽裕的时间来准备行程。敏敏老师估计，此举和目前国际生申请签证可能因为疫情受到影响有关。

“New Health Controls and Campus Protocols We know that governmental and public health agencies will implement new and important health and safety protocols this summer. We anticipate these new protocols will likely include social distancing requirements in classrooms, dormitories and communal spaces, and the ability to test, quarantine, and contact trace members of the Webb community. ”

开学后，学校将采取更严格和封闭的在校生活管理措施，包括限制学生和教职员工的出入，严格监控往来人员的行踪，以及取消大型活动等。

“New Hybrid On-Campus / Online Academic Program. …We will offer an innovative hybrid program, one that includes both in-person and online instruction. This new hybrid program features a series of major enhancements, including adoption of Canvas (the same system used by Stanford and Harvard) as our online learning platform. ”

学校采取混合教学模式，线上和线下同时进行，学生可以进行选择。高中学校也会采用和大学同样的技术，来保证教学质量。

同样的，我认为这也会是大部分中学正在考虑及最后将采取的开学方式。学生也同样可以选择是回学校进行混合模式上课，还是留在家里以纯在线的方式完成秋季课程。

无论最后出台的政策如何，有一点是明确的，这个秋天，我们所熟悉或者向往的校园生活，不会再以曾经的模样出现在我们的生活里了。

拥抱变化，用新的心态去迎接这一切，对于每个学生，都非常重要。正如一个学生，在面对这一切变化而倍感困惑时，向我寻求建议，我想了想，给他留下了这句话：

学会理解现实，学会妥协。

这里的妥协，不是以消极的方式，而是寻求一个自己能接受和调整的方式，用积极的心态去应对。

春夏秋冬，刮风下雨，自然界一直以轮回的方式在进化，同样的，这次百年一遇的疫情，给全人类带来了挑战，但所有的困难都一定会过去。保持信念很重要哦！

最后敏敏老师也想问问大家，如果学校无法提供正常的校园学习和活动，你会希望学校减免学费么？

我不是说的生活费哈，因为不回校学习都话，学校应该是不会收取生活费的。
