These are my roots, winding and long;

they anchor and feed me and help me grow strong.

这些是我的根须，蜿蜒而长

他们锚定我，给予我养分，让我成长壮大

Look at my acorns, shiny and round,

nibbled by chipmunks who scratch at the ground

看我的橡子，又圆又亮

被抓地的花栗鼠咬了一口

Here is my trunk, where busy ants scurry,

searching for food as they march in a hurry

这是我的树根，忙碌的蚂蚁在这里匆匆忙忙，

在他们匆忙行军时寻找食物

This is the spider that lives in my bark,

spinning web from dawn until dark

这是住在我树上的蜘蛛，

从早到晚都在织网

A woodpecker searches, eager to munch,

tapping for bugs it will eat for its lunch

敲打着树干里的虫子，当午餐吃的虫子

Visit my hollow that is home to an owl

he sleeps all day long, then at night starts to prowl

These are my branches, leafy and high

a sidewalk for squirrels that soar through the sky

这些是我的树枝，枝繁叶茂

One of my branches cradles a nest,

a cozy, warm home where new hatchlings rest

Look at this small twig that holds a cocoon,

protecting a moth that will emerge soon

看看这根结茧的小树枝，

保护即将破茧而出的飞蛾

Hear my green leaves as they shake in the wind

breathing out air for all to breathe in

听到我的绿叶在风中摇曳

呼出空气让所有人呼吸

These are my boughs that creak, bend, and sway,

shading the children below as they play

这些是我的树枝，吱吱作响，弯曲，摇摆，

为树下玩耍的孩子们遮阴

A boy finds an acorn I shake form my top

among autumn leaves that swirl as they drop

一个男孩发现了一颗橡子，我从我头顶摇下来的橡子

在秋天的落叶中，它们随着落下而旋转

A girl plants a seed,

一个女孩在播种

It grows toward the sky,

它长向天空，

Taller and stronger as seasons pass by,

Becoming a tree, a busy tree…

随着季节的流逝，它变得越来越高，越来越强壮，

成为一棵树，一棵忙碌的树…
