●解读

Divest一词最常见的用法是指剥离/抛售/放弃资产、投资、权利、头衔等，可接直接宾语，也可用介词of/from（pest somebody of/from something）。Divest一词中-vest词根（拉丁语vestis）意为“衣服”，这么说来英语中invest本有“穿衣”、“包裹”的意思，而pest则是“脱衣”也就是“剥离资产”了。
