Kaiming is my old friend and best friend. He has a son named Chaotuo.

开明是我的老朋友，也是最好的朋友。他有一个儿子，取名超脱。

Chaotuo is a teacher. Day and night he’s busy teaching, reading and writing.

超脱吃的是教书饭。不分昼夜，他讲课、读书、写作。

Born in 1989, Chaotuo is old enough to get married. However, he’s still single.

1989年，超脱呱呱坠地，如今到了娶妻生子的时候，但他依然待在婚姻的围城之外。

Quite a few pretty girls want to be his wife, but as a workaholic he doesn’t feel like starting a family.

好些女孩想嫁给他，可是，超脱是个工作狂，不愿意建立自己的小家庭。

Kaiming stays at home most of the time to avoid meeting friends and people he knows.

大部分时间，开明足不出户，以便避免见到朋友和熟人。

In his opinion, it’s his fault that Chaotuo has not taken a wife yet. He is ashamed of himself. Obviously he is not to blame.

在他看来，超脱没娶媳妇是他的过错。他羞愧难当。显然，这不怪他。

A father’s reponsibility is to bring a child up and keep him in school. The rest of all about a child is depends on himself. A father does not have to shape a child’s future. He is not capable of doing so.

父亲的责任是把孩子养大，供他上学读书。至于其它事情，交给孩子处理。孩子的未来，父亲不必塑造，也无力塑造。

It is well-known that JinXing, a celebrity,used to be a boy. When she grew up, she dreamed of changing from a boy to a girl.

She ran into a German while travelling by plane. They fell in love with each other and got married soon after. To experience the bliss of parents they adopted kids and live a happy life.

在飞机上，她偶遇一个德国男子，彼此相爱，不久结为伉俪。为了体验做父母的快乐，他们收养了儿女，全家生活美满。

Parents can’t help worrying about her children. Actually it’s impossible for them to determine their destiny.

父母牵挂孩子，身不由己。实际上，孩子的命运，父母决定不了。

In addition to children, parents are expected to love other people and other activities.

除了亲生骨肉，父母还可以爱别的人、别的事。

The world is made up of different ingredients and children are only part of it.

世界很大，孩子仅仅是它的一部分。
