纪念碑式的湖南大学校门The mainstay of the country

湖南大学的大门位于在湖大设计艺术学院门前，由2根高矗立的带有向下的涡卷装饰的爱奥尼式花岗岩石柱与刻有“湖南大学”巨石组成，有“中流砥柱，国之栋梁”纪念碑式的象征意味。

Gate of Hunan University

The gate of Hunan University is located in front of the college of design and art of Hunan University. It is composed of two high Ionian granite columns with downward scroll decoration and giant stones engraved with "Hunan University", with the symbolic meaning of monument of "mainstay, pillar of the country".
