Thousands of Hong Kong tourists in Japan are facing disruptions to their holiday plans as a "once-in-a-decade" blizzard rips through the country, shutting down railways and major thoroughfares.

一场“十年一遇”的暴风雪席卷日本，导致铁路和主要道路关闭，数千名在日本旅游的香港游客的度假计划面临中断。

At least 200 travelers had already experienced some form of delay or changes to their itinerary among some 6,000 people from the city across tour groups in Japan.

在日本各旅行团约6000名游客中，至少有200名游客的行程出现了某种形式的延迟或更改。

The Japan Meteorological Agency has warned of a cold spell seen "only once in a decade" across wide areas of the country, especially in the western and eastern regions between Tuesday and Thursday, leading to power outages, traffic blockades and frost. Residents have been advised to stay indoors.

@sutibun007 : Why do you make this a big deal when people decide to travel to Japan during the winter? They should expect snow and even blizzards, and they shall not complain about this at all. Do locals living in far North ever complaining about blizzards? Be an adult and stop whining.
