加拿大大西洋四省中学项目服务日常，学生成绩不及格怎么办

因加拿大疫情影响，纽芬兰公立中学项目积极响应教育局的政策，所有国际学生及当地学生全部停课。----虽学校关门，但是教育局跟学校的工作并未停止，他们积极部署了不同年级在接下来的相关工作，同时提供并开展了在线资源及在线课程，学生所有的教学工作均在正常进行，只是把战场从教室转到了家庭，把面授转为了在线教学。

4月22日前后，该教育局项目发放了本学期4月份期中考试的成绩，我们有一名11年级在读的学生因为一门写作课程不能及格，该代课老师专门写邮件告知学生未能给他及格的原因，以及说明挽回这门课程学分需要如何操作，可谓非常人性化了，我们一起来看看吧:

I hope this email finds you and your families well in these uncertain times.

As you may be aware, a progress report was released today, April 22, that outlines XXX's current achievement for the year.如你所知，今天（4月22日）我们发布了一份进度报告，上面概述了XXX目前在读课程的成绩。

I am reaching out to you to let you know that, based on current work, XXX has not achieved a passing grade in Writing 2203. 我联系你的目的是想让你知道，根据目前XXX的表现，他在写作2203这门课程没有达到及格分数。

I want to let you know that I am going to be providing Credit Recovery (CR) opportunities so that they may improve their grade. Generally, this means that they will be given the opportunity to complete alternate work based on material that has already been covered this year so that low or missing marks can be replaced. 我想让你知道，我将提供学分恢复（CR）的机会，以便他提高他目前的成绩。常规来讲，这意味着他将有机会补全及完成所有这个学期所涵盖的作业，这样可以替换之前获得的低分数或缺失的分数。

Once the student has returned the work it will be graded and then further opportunities will be provided in the units that follow.

It is recommended that XXX utilize Google Classroom, as many notes/ prior materials will be made available on that platform, or has already been posted from previous units. Alternate CR work will be emailed directly to the student.
