真帅！今日香港纪律部队“中式步操”刷屏，网友：看起来很舒适

那中式步操和英式步操有什么区别呢？

英式步操的典型特征是手臂甩得又高又直，踏步较为轻巧；立定和转体的时候，要很用力地跺脚，同时敬礼的时候，手掌有一个明显的外翻动作。

中式步操则需要手臂在胸前10厘米左右的距离摆动，抬腿向前迈步时，腿要绷直向前方踢，脚尖下压，脚掌与地面平行。

Describing the learning experience as strenuous, he said, “We spent a lot of time learning the correct standing posture in the first week.”

他认为训练强度挺大，“第一周我们花费了很多时间学习正确的站姿。”

All movements in Chinese-style foot drill training are based upon the standing posture, apart from maintaining their chests in an upright position, pulling in their abdominals and keeping their heads up, officers need to display confidence and determination during the march.

所有中式步操训练的动作都是以站姿为基础，除了挺胸、收腹、抬头外，警员们还要在行进过程表现出自信和坚定。

“Another challenge is to learn to listen to different foot drill commands and call them out.

另外一个挑战是，学习聆听不同的步操指令，并能说出来。

You must be loud and clear when you give out Chinese-style foot drill commands, and use a mixture of high and low-pitched tones rhythmically.

这里drill就是“操练”的意思，“中式步操”就可以是Chinese-style foot drill

2. strenuous /'strɛnjuəs/ adj.剧烈的，费力的

英文释义更好理解：

A strenuous activity or action involves a lot of energy or effort.

一个strenuous活动或者行动，需要付出很多精力或努力。

比如：

Avoid strenuous exercise in the evening.

应避免在傍晚进行剧烈的运动。

5. give out，这里指“给出指令”

英文释义：If you give out information, you make it known to people.

当你give out某个信息时，你是让人知道这个信息。

非常形象地描述了咱们国内的军队指令，当然从tone上就要像！

pitch 作为动词指的是“定音高”，在这里是过去分词作形容词用，high-pitched 和 low-pitched 分别指“音调高的”和“音调低的”。
